Blue Sky Art Show theme 'Background' spotlights photos and 3D pieces

The Blue Sky Art Show theme "Background" asks creators to make the background the main subject or a defining compositional element. Today's gallery features travel and landscape photography, black-and-white street and urban scenes, macro nature work, and mixed-media and 3D experiments. Standout entries include a reflective pond photo that uses the sky as both foreground and background, a film image of the Lone Cypress, a Kamakura black-and-white statue portrait, seagulls over ocean waves, and mating butterflies isolated by bokeh. Artists also shared vitreous-tile hydrangeas and ceramic-dish mosaics for outdoor installations; tag your work with #Background to join the show.
