Pentagon readies plans for weeks of ground operations in Iran

The Pentagon has drafted plans for limited, weeks-long ground operations in Iran. The planning follows Tehran reporting strikes on a US AWACS aircraft and multiple commercial tankers. Roughly 3,500 additional US troops and marines have arrived in the Middle East as contingency forces.
