Witch Hat Atelier anime praised for faithful, gorgeous early episodes

Both “Witch Hat Atelier” and “Daemons of the Shadow Realm” are animes to pay attention to this season. Both have really compelling pilot episodes.

Telling my sister last year not to watch Frieren cuz its orientalist nonsense and wait for Witch Hat Atelier instead and she didnt listen and watched the whole of it. Now today we spent the afternoon watching witch Hat Atelier. She was quiet the whole time and was like. "... youre right.."

Five seconds into Witch Hat Atelier, and I was hooked. The story, the music, the art, the English dub, I AM IN LOVE.

i think Witch Hat Atelier is the first time i have read the manga before the anime. im not used to this feeling.

The witch hat atelier anime is really frickin’ beautiful and well animated so far. Can’t wait for more episodes.

sam and i watched the first two witch hat episodes on monday and we watched the dub because Of Course I Wanted to and eng qifrey voice is so soothing it put me to sleep at a beautiful 11:30pm

the witch hat atelier adaptation is so incredibly faithful that it's literally taking panels from the manga and putting them in 1to1. its an incredible balance of a "storybook" art style and modern anime style. the voicework is also really good both sub and dub. i will be rewatching over and over

I’ll have a longer review later that nobody asked for but the Witch Hat Atelier anime is good so far, I think the pacing is too fast but generally I think they did a good job of taking their own spin on the storytelling/style and didn’t Sailor Moon Crystal it

Watched the eps of Witch Hat Atelier, the animation is beautiful. Tho I find the magic system easy to grasp. Enjoying it so far. 🙂‍↕️ Nee show to watch with the fam to fill in the gap of previous animes.

The biggest problem with the Akane-Banashi anime is that its having to face off against Witch Hat Atelier in the same season. stiff god damn competition. genuinely, its so hard to say which is better Both of these are contenders for anime of the year

so far i am so happy with the anime adaptation of witch hat atelier!!! the animation is so gorgeous and I love the english voices so much!!! 😭
