newsApr 20, 2026946

BBC Panorama aired an episode titled "Antisemitism: Why British Jews Are Afraid," in which Judith Moritz interviewed British Jewish people WHO said they had been spat at, threatened and kidnapped. The Community Security Trust recorded an average of 10 antisemitic incidents per day in 2025. Interviewees described incidents ranging from verbal threats and spitting to physical abductions, and one caller told LBC he is considering taking up an asylum offer from former U.S. President Donald Trump. Panorama links the surge in abuse to tensions over Gaza and to events around Israel's Memorial and Independence Days, raising concerns about community safety and emigration plans.
