newsApr 21, 2026924

Amnesty International published its annual "State of the World's Human Rights" report, reviewing more than 140 countries. Secretary General Agnès Callamard said the United States and Israel are driving a "predatory world order" and the report labels leaders including Benjamin Netanyahu, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump as "voracious predators." The report documents that Georgia has "plunged head-on into authoritarian practices" with systemic crackdowns on dissent. Eve Geddie, Amnesty's director for European institutions, urged the European Union to end its partnership with Israel, saying "it was time" given rights violations.
