Jets take TE Kenyon Sadiq at No. 16

sportsApr 23, 202616201

The New York Jets selected Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq with the No. 16 pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh. Sadiq, WHO grew up in Idaho Falls and starred at Skyline High School, entered the draft as the top tight end prospect because of his size, athleticism, and after-the-catch ability. The Jets pair Sadiq with last year’s rookie Mason Taylor, creating a complementary tandem they can deploy in 12 personnel packages and versatile passing looks. Sadiq’s mismatch receiving skills should force linebackers and safeties into one-on-one coverage and give the Jets’ quarterbacks more quick-yardage options in the intermediate passing game.
