Tottenham and Netherlands midfielder Xavi Simons tore his anterior cruciate ligament during Tottenham's 1-0 win at Wolverhampton, ruling him out for the rest of the club season and the 2026 World Cup. Manager Roberto De Zerbi confirmed the diagnosis after both Simons and Dominic Solanke were forced off and said the club will assess Solanke's fitness separately. Simons said he was "heartbroken" at the injury. The setback hits Spurs while they sit 18th, two points from safety with four games remaining, removing one of their most important creative players during a relegation fight.
