Firing squad debate returns after discussion of execution policy changes

In the US, police kill more than a 1000 people every year with gunfire. By comparison, in 2023, 24 prisoners were executed. If you're worried about firing squads, get rid of the police.

I am weirdly happy knowing that Trump personally brought back the firing squad, so now it is a possible ending to his coming impeachment trial.

The same people blaming Democrats and Jimmy Kimmel for the shooting incident are the same folks trying to bring back firing squads.

"Enemies of America" are called "traitors". "Traitors" have committed "treason". "Treason" is punishable by death. And it's pure coincidence I'm sure that Trump's DoJ just for the hell of it announced the return of firing squads... traditionally the most performative way of dispatching "traitors'.

As Dems and Rs alike again choose to fail today to examine the fallout of a Second Amendment birthed in racism, an amendment that has never protected Americans equally, today we see firing squad return as a logical extension of our apathy. The 2A needs repealed.
