Ffs breast cancer caught early is treatable caught late it’s fatal if there’s a genetic test you take it. If you have children you absolutely take it. Shoving your head up your arse benefits nobody. #TheArchers

Yes, I think they probably both prefer to get used to the idea in private for a few weeks. Then when the shock/novelty is over - they’ll know better what they want/need from each other. #TheArchers

I think Ruth needs time to process it after the shock of thinking that Pip might have cancer. She’ll most likely go through with the test in the end. #TheArchers

There are genetic counsellors available if you are found to be at higher risk, in theory. But prior to the test, I don't think that is offered. David means well here but sometimes you need to be realistic rather than have someone automatically tell you it will be OK. It might not be. #TheArchers

It’s a sad thing really isn’t it! As if getting cancer isn’t bad enough, to feel it’s somehow one’s own fault for not living correctly, just adds so much stress. I suppose at least we don’t assume the person had to have done some witchcraft anymore! A bit of progress. #TheArchers

I don’t see where the conflict is. Reduce all the stress and speculation and get the testing done ASAP - on both Daaaavd AND Ruth! AND Pip (who should go it now, irrespective of what Ruth does). Then, take the steps to prevent any disease - for all related. #TheArchers
