Valve says Steam Deck 2 still in development, cites RAM shortages

Valve confirms Steam Deck 2 remains in development, saying the company is "hard at work" on a successor to the Steam Deck. Valve attributes ongoing Steam Deck shortages in some regions to global RAM and storage supply constraints, adding "There's only so much we can do." Valve plans to expand its hardware line with a £85 Steam Controller launching May 4, which will be compatible with PCs, the Steam Deck and an upcoming Valve gaming PC. Those supply constraints will limit how quickly Valve can ramp production and keep the timing and specifications for Steam Deck 2 uncertain for potential buyers.
