Chelsea captain Millie Bright retires with immediate effect

Chelsea captain and former Lionesses star Millie Bright has announced her retirement from football, with immediate effect. Bright hasn't played since February 8 due to an ankle injury. Will be honoured ahead of the game with Man Utd at Stamford Bridge on May 16.

Millie Bright has announced that she has retired from football with immediate effect! Her most notable years were with Chelsea for over a decade, winning 20 trophies, plus was a part of the 2022 Lionesses Euros winning squad as well as captaining the side to the World Cup final in 2023.
