Sabres beat Bruins 4-1, clinch first playoff series since 2007
The Buffalo Sabres defeated the Boston Bruins 4-1 in Game 6 to clinch the franchise's first Stanley Cup playoff series win since 2007. The victory ends an 18-season playoff-series drought for Buffalo and advances the Sabres to the second round. During the celebration, Buffalo's crowd sang "O Canada" after a microphone issue, underscoring the moment's significance for the long-suffering franchise.
I’ll say this, whatever happens on Sunday night, it’s damned impressive that this young team has taken one of the Stanley Cup favourites to 7 games. The window is opening, just a few shortcomings to address in the roster construction, but I’m so confident HuGo can address them #GoHabsGo
Agree, if they go in the 2nd round its a bonus. Future is bright
This season was an extraordinary accomplishment. Look where #GoHabsGo finished in the standings and the growth of the players. Even in the playoffs. Look at how good Xhekaj and now Demidov are playing. They adjusted. Wouldn't surprise me if both guys scored in Tampa on Sunday.
