Bird Of The Day, alt theme 'Robins'
Today's Bird Of The Day prompt pairs the main theme Stretched with an alternate theme Robins, inviting contributors to share any bird caught stretching or any robin image. The gallery spans tight behavior shots, wide shorebird scenes, mobile and DSLR photos, and a few film-style images and illustrations. Standouts include a California Scrub-Jay photographed with its nictitating membrane visible, a Great Blue Heron frozen mid-stretch while hunting, and an American robin perched among spring buds. Look for wing and neck stretching poses, feeding stretches, and bright songbird portraits under #BirdOfTheDay and #Robins.
The #BirdOfTheDay is #Parenthood. A mama mallard duck and a whole passel of ducklings. #birds #photography #birdsofbluesky
Makes me think of mother's day last year. A mallard hen was raising cane on my end of the street and doing the broke wing display to lire a neighborhood cat away. All her ducklings had fallen down a storm drain and she was very distressed. Local FD showed up with a dip net and reunited them.
Tag yourself: I'm the duckling who's screaming 😆
