Dennis Locorriere, Dr. Hook singer, dies at 76
Dennis Locorriere, frontman of Dr. Hook, formerly Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show, died on Saturday after a long battle with kidney disease. He was 76. Locorriere was also an admired songwriter whose songs were recorded by Bob Dylan, Helen Reddy, Willy & more. americansongwriter.com/dr-hook-fron...

A couple of my friends and I, did a dance to the song "The Cover of the Rolling Stone," in our junior high talent show. (yeah, many years ago). -I hadn't realized that song was written by Shel Silverstein.

RIP I saw Dr. Hook perform at Louisville Downs Racetrack (which was open only for the concert, not racing at that time), the night before the KY Derby (at Churchill Downs). I think it was May 1973.

He was so unique. You knew his voice anywhere. I am not liking seeing so many I grew up with leaving us. I’m glad he’s no longer suffering and left us with so many memories.
