Powerpuff creator Craig McCracken pays tribute to Tom Kane

‘The Powerpuff Girls’ creator Craig McCracken has posted a touching tribute to Tom Kane along with an illustration of Professor Utonium and Mr. Harriman: “I grew up without a dad, so it was important to me that the girls had the best one I could give them and that was Tom.”

I don’t really see many people posting around what Craig McCracken had to say in the caption of the post, so I’m just gonna put it right here for archival sake One last goodbye to Tom Kane, from the creator of the characters, he voiced

Tom Kane knew how to embody the father figure role so well. He was our Professor Utonium, he was one of our fathers who made us feel better while growing up, and we're sad to hear of Tom's passing. 1962-2026 #powerpuffgirls

Was sad to hear Tom Kane passed away & he always made me laugh & smile with his performances especially in the original PPG as the professor, Him,& the talking dog. I’m glad the voices of the PPG got to see Tom at a con one last time & I drew the professor to honor Tom’s life

RIP voice actor Tom Kane (Professor Utonium in PPG, Yoda in Clone Wars and basically every video game for the last 25 years), but also fuck whoever put this shitty collage together. I don’t think he voiced half the characters pictured here, or at least wasn’t *known* as their primary VA.

My Last Jedi watch ended up inadvertently being a tribute viewing in honor of Tom Kane since he voiced Ackbar for it and man... I don't know if I can find another movie that I have as mixed of a feeling as I do for this one LOL
