Microsoft confirmed Gears of War: E-Day will be an Xbox console exclusive and will launch on October 6, 2026. The Vancouver-made title opened the Xbox Showcase with a gameplay trailer that depicts E-Day, the day the Locust horde emerged from underground and launched their attack. The exclusivity announcement dispels rumors of a PlayStation 5 release and Microsoft offered no confirmation about a PC launch.
