Big Freeze returns to the MCG, celebrities slide to raise funds for MND

Big Freeze 12 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground staged celebrity ICE slides and novelty stunts to raise money for FightMND in memory of MND campaigner Neale Daniher. Participants included the Governor-General taking a turn down the slide and a former Melbourne Demons player WHO performed a shoey before sliding. Organizers sold new Big Freeze 12 beanies and invited online donations to fund motor neurone disease research through FightMND. The event closed to Elbow's "One Day Like This," a moment used to honor people lost to MND and press for continued research funding.
