Rhythm Heaven Groove trailer and July release
It's really surprising to me that Rhythm Heaven Groove is backpedaling on everything new they added in Megamix. No skill stars, judgement indicators, accuracy percent... not even the faster tutorials skips I know they didn't all work well but man they must really not like that installment
I don't need a storyline or shop or challenge train or anything just keep the Japanese audio option and we're all good
i don't really get removing the percentage thing or skill stars, those were really nice additions i was hoping they'd add to groove! also the bottom screen thing where it shows how far off you were could've easily been reworked for one screen, heaven studio did it
Looking back at today's announcements, I think the biggest issue with the lineup isn't that there are no games, but that the releases are incredibly sporadic Next month Nintendo is launching two new games (Splatoon Raiders and Rhythm Heaven) and two upgrade packs (Xenoblade 2 and Fitness Boxing 3)
saw a viewpoint that this direct's lineup was mainly to appeal to jp audience which just had switch 2's price hike. and that september direct will have a lineup that appeals more internationally because that's when international price hike is gonna happen
i think this really speaks numbers about how much better the third party support has become over the years but i will say its a little funny how the games im most interested in are mostly non-Nintendo titles
Then nothing in August, Fire Emblem in September, and Switch Sports and Xenoblade 3's upgrade taking up two of the big holiday spots (with Ocarina of Time in between most likely) Couple that with the physical Xenoblade rereleases & there's no room for a September Direct to announce more 2026 games
didn't express it on bsky yet but like I love love love that Rhythm Heaven Groove has a built in screen reader. like i'm prob gonna turn the reader off or keep her on text only mode? but like gosh i'm glad the option is there and especially for this series.
didn't make it super clear but there in the japanese site they showed that there are settings for the reader to like totally describe everything that's going on. like give you the full context and where everything is on the screen.
They could have stopped at the TTS but I'm so so glad they expanded it into full descriptions, it's absolutely not an easy task but such a win for accessibility. Lots more demand for it than people think
