Square Enix announces Final Fantasy Resonance, an HD‑2D Final Fantasy

Square Enix announced Final Fantasy Resonance, its first HD-2D Final Fantasy, and set the release date for October 22, 2026. The game will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, and Square Enix is offering a Collector's Edition. Final Fantasy Resonance uses HD-2D visuals and adapts the world and systems of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius into a console-style RPG. a lil more info: - producer Keisuke Nakashima + director Hiroto Furuya love FFV and it shows - Team Asano advised - story is an adaptation of Brave Exvius' first season with new unique story stuff, everything else built from the ground up - said to be 30-40 hours mainline, 60-80 for completionists
