Splatoon Raiders direct set for June 30, launches July 23 on Switch 2
Nintendo will air a Splatoon Raiders Direct on June 30 and confirmed Splatoon Raiders launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23. Players will team up with the musical trio Deep Cut to hunt treasure across the Spirahlite Islands, and Deep Cut-inspired Joy-Con 2 controllers arrive the same day. Pre-orders are available now, and Nintendo will publish daily comics on the Nintendo Today app starting June 23 that depict the 30 days before the game's story begins.
i think my overall thoughts on the direct: - deltarune was the most hype thing in it - splatoon raiders segment sucked - why did we watch koizumi play thumb war game for 5 minutes - new hd-2d final fantasy game looks dope - kh4 looks dope - sure wish oot remake trailer had GAMEPLAY in it
the company the won the most in this direct was square enix somehow
Everything else in the direct could have been dogshit and i still would have loved it cause HOLY SHIT KINGDOM HEARTS 4
Tales of Eternia remaster is also crazy as they not only redubbed it, they also did a new translation, which is crazy to me.
that Nintendo Direct was aimed directly at me #TribLovesVideoGames - Pokopia free update + DLC - StarFox Demo - Xenoblade 60fps upgrades - Big Walk crossplay - Everbloom - Deltarune - swap weapons on the fly in Splatoon Raiders?! - SWITCH SPORTS RESORT!!! - Metaphor on Switch 2!!! - ...is that KHIV
since we alreeady knew Rhythm Heaven Groove was coming much earlier on than these other games, I forgot to mention it here but yes I was very pleased to see it return, and happy they're following the Fever format more than the Megamix format...plus a Patapon-like RPG?! #TribLovesVideoGames
Metaphor ReFantazio is an absolute perfect fit for the Switch 2 the kind of game that I feel is enhanced by being on a portable console I never finished it on Steam, so playing through it on NS2 will be a dream~ (can't hold my breath for a real physical copy though)
so Nintendo has StarFox, Rhythm Heaven, Splatoon Raiders, Fire Emblem, Switch Sports Resort, and Ocarina of Time for 2026 6 first party games for the second half of the year and that's 2027 pretty much finished up, gotta say I'm impressed, and pleasantly surprised
and like, Pokopia is already my new favorite game, and they're giving both Free and Paid DLC to expand the world this makes me feel like when they added Happy Home Designer to New Horizons, like 'oh you're just gonna make my favorite game better?'
