Atlético rejects Real Madrid offer for Julián Álvarez

Atlético Madrid rejected Real Madrid's €150 million (about $173 million) offer to sign Argentina forward Julián Álvarez and issued a derisive public statement. Atlético said it is not studying or considering any bid, sarcastically thanked Real Madrid, accused the rival of 'stealing' players from Atlético's academy, and even included laughing emojis. The club's outright refusal signals Atlético will keep its marquee assets this transfer window and forces Real Madrid to pursue other attacking reinforcements.
