Obviously there was the emotional sting of Rob Edwards leaving #Boro after all that had been said - “we’re a family” etc - but from a purely football perspective it always felt like a bonkers move. From outside looking in, this always felt very possible when he joined Wolves.

That Rob Edwards sacking is so weird. They can’t have expected him to keep them up from where he took over. McKenna walking also very very weird. In a post Roy never having experienced Glanser world I’d have taken either for us!

🐺 Wolves have sacked Rob Edwards before he could do the job they appeared to hire him for. He joined a club already tumbling towards the Championship, helped shape the early rebuild, then got removed before the real work began. For Wolves, it looks chaotic.

Oh well, at least Rob Edwards can call upon the support of his former employers at this tough time. Oh.
