Yoshinobu Yamamoto lost a perfect game when Mookie Betts committed a two-out fielding error in the eighth inning against the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field. Yamamoto had retired 45 straight batters and carried the perfecto into the eighth, finishing 8.1 innings with one hit, one run, zero walks and seven strikeouts.
