Kylian Mbappé scored twice and Bradley Barcola added a goal as France beat Sweden 3-0 in the World Cup round of 32 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Mbappé opened the scoring just before half time (45') and added a second in the 74th minute; Barcola scored in the 53rd minute. Michael Olise provided key service, earning credit for two assists in the win. Mbappé’s strikes were his 17th and 18th World Cup goals, moving him one behind Lionel Messi in all-time World Cup goals. The victory sends France into the last 16, where they are scheduled to face Paraguay in Philadelphia on July 4.
