Colson Montgomery crushed a 440-foot, 109.1 mph two-run homer off Trey Gibson (87.2 mph slider, 2129 rpm) in the top of the third to put the White Sox up 3-1 at Baltimore. Statcast listed the shot with a 29-degree launch angle and credited Montgomery with his 21st home run of the season. The long fly came with no outs in the inning and produced the go-ahead runs in Chicago’s road game (CWS at BAL). Video and box-score posts identify the play as a clear no-doubt homer to right-center that sparked a multi-run third inning for the White Sox.
