Mike Trout homers in return from injured list

The Los Angeles Angels activated Mike Trout from the 10-day injured list Wednesday and Trout homered in his return during a 13-1 rout of the Texas Rangers. Trout missed 17 games with a right hamstring strain that began June 17 but was projected to return in time for the All-Star Game; he is set to make his 12th All-Star appearance at Citizens Bank Park. Yahoo Sports lists Trout this season at .234/.394/.472 with 17 homers, 36 RBIs and 54 runs in 74 games. Trout said he plans to keep playing center field regularly, though manager Kurt Suzuki suggested he might limit Trout’s workload initially. American League manager John Schneider appears likely to name Trout a starting outfielder for the July 14 Midsummer Classic.

MLB celebrated Mike Trout homering last night, on the 15th anniversary of his debut, so since I'm a little shit I'll remind you that Trout debuted when he was 19 and MLB's recent proposal would have kept him from even being drafted for another year.
