Kelsey Mitchell historic scoring streak powers Indiana Fever comeback

Kelsey Mitchell scored 33 points on 10-of-14 shooting as the Indiana Fever rallied from a 13-point deficit to beat the New York Liberty 108-88 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. New York led 49-45 at halftime, but Indiana dominated the third quarter 30-12, with Mitchell scoring 14 of her 33 in that period and matching the Liberty’s entire output. The Fever converted New York’s 17 turnovers into 30 points, outscored the Liberty bench 31-14, and produced 18 second-chance points on eight offensive rebounds. Caitlin Clark added 17 points while on a minutes restriction one night after a 45-point, 10-assist performance versus Seattle. The result split the season series 1-1 after New York’s 83-75 win on June 6, and dropped the Liberty to 13-12 while boosting Indiana’s standing among the league’s leaders. Mitchell also became the fourth WNBA player to score 30 or more points on consecutive days, joining Maya Moore, Epiphanny Prince, and Elena Delle Donne.
