Bird of the Day is a daily community prompt with today’s theme #LittleBrownBirds and an alternate theme #Busted for birds staring at the camera. Gallery posts show close-up wildlife photography and backyard sightings focusing on small brown passerines and direct-eye portraits, plus a few unexpected busts from owls and other species. I live in a western Canadian 'rural suburb.' The heat & smoke are unprecedented. I have 2 shallow bowls on ground & 2 raised bird baths. I refill water 1-2 x day. Approx. 12 spp of birds as well as squirrels, deer, newts and bees use the water for drinking and bathing. Grateful to provide & watch.
