Bird of the Day is a daily photo event with today’s theme #AtOneWithNature, celebrating birds in their natural environment; Alan picked the theme and many contributors are using the alternate theme #Raptors. Gallery entries focus on birds undisturbed in habitat: a female Sparrowhawk flying overhead while about 10 Barn Swallows chased it, a puffin noted for spending almost all its life at sea, and a great blue heron perched alone on a small river island. I have a juvinile Bald Eagle ive made "friends" with in my local state park Its shown him or herself to me several times I leave little wildlife peanut treat piles for crows, and inadequately attract small mammals for him or her to hunt ;)

A very small Marsh Wren with a white chest and belly and brown head, back, wings and tail, with its feet wrapped around the stalk of a red-brown cattail in a marshy area.
