natureAug 19, 20261856,683

Bird of the Day is a daily community event with today’s main theme #BirdInABush and an alternate theme #FlyingHigh. Gallery entries focus on close-up bush perches and airborne formations, including a young long-tailed tit sitting in a bush, Sandwich Terns in flight formation for the alt theme, and a juvenile Whitethroat tucked among brambles. Other notable posts show an eastern spinebill at the Australian National Botanic Gardens, a barn swallow searching for a landing spot, a Nankeen Kestrel flying high, and a Rufous Mourner hidden in Panamanian foliage. Look for hedge and bush scenes, golden hour northern mockingbirds, and high-flying raptors under the hashtags #BirdInABush and #FlyingHigh.
