Blue Sky Art Show, theme 'Golden'

Blue Sky Art ShowSep 19, 202643722,843

A glowing Arabian desert sunset anchored the literal golden hour, the sun poised above jagged peaks and calm water. Others treated gold as presence and silhouette, from a barn swallow caught in flight against a golden sky to fields of California golden poppies on a long hill at Montaña De Oro State Park.

The beautiful sunset colours of 'David Howard' contrast dramatically against its dark leaves. It is a recipient of the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit for

A close up photo of underneath a golden sunflower. There are green velvety leaf like structures called bracts next to the stem that is out of shot. The long golden petals of the sunflower are brownish at the ends. The photo was taken with a pale wall behind

A gorgeous little brown creeper on a thick, lichen-covered branch going almost sideways across the frame. It has stunning markings in shades of dark brown and beige on the back and a light belly. The back and belly feathers are very fluffy. The curved beak and eyes are dark. The bird is upright and facing to the left. You can faintly make out the bird's powerful claw clutching the side of the branch. There are leaves in shades of gold, orange, and green blurred in the background with small bits of blue sky dotted throughout.

The sunset turns the sky golden with highlights of yellow and red on the clouds. The receding waves reflect the golden color of the sky and there’s a snowy egret walking along the shoreline.

In the foreground the water of Lake Ontario is dark, with small waves moving towards the shore. The sun has not yet risen above the horizon but it has cast a golden glow across the sky. A bank of fluffy clouds on the right side of the image are highlighted by the sunlight.

California golden poppies grow in bunches on a long hill in Montaña De Oro State Park. The long hill occupies about two-thirds of the image. The upper third is a hazy mountain (Valencia Peak), pale blue sky, and one round white cloud positioned just above the peak of the mountain.

A lovely golden sunset and beautiful sky that is reflected in the water. So as the naked trees and both side from the canal. Even in the winter the grass is still green and full with golden leaves.

A close-up of dried, light-brown maple seeds hanging from thin twigs. The photograph was taken against strong backlight, causing the seeds’ delicate, wing-like structures to glow golden and appear almost transparent. In the background, the surface of a river reflects the sunlight, creating a heavily blurred, sparkling bokeh of bright circles of light.

At sunrise on Bowman Lake, the first light comes quietly over the mountains, finding the clouds before it reaches the dark forest below. Gold and rose spread along the eastern sky, while the ridges remain in blue shadow, holding for a little longer to the night. The lake receives the morning slowly. A narrow path of amber light crosses the water, and near the shore the brightening sky appears again in reflection, wavering gently against the darkness. There is an ancient assurance in such a morning. The sun returns without announcement, the mountains accept its light, and the lake gives it back. For a little while, one may simply stand among these things and remember that each new day is given before anything is asked of us.

A flock of 11 geese fly in front of a blood red sun, which appears striped because of low clouds. Underneath a dark band of clouds the sky is lighter orange with more clouds and foothills. Irrigation water spouts are white against a line of trees in the distance.
