Bird of the Day, theme 'Borbs'

A puffed-up robin close to the lens carried the literal borb idea, its feathers fluffed into a round silhouette on a branch. Others leaned into plushness, like a Gambel's quail sitting as a compact ball in a bare bush, or a king penguin chick with a tiny head and rotund body. The alternate theme was Gulls, represented by ring-billed gulls on Colpoy's Bay.
