Planet Labs to withhold satellite images of Iran conflict

Planet Labs said the U.S. government asked satellite imagery firms to indefinitely withhold images of Iran and nearby conflict zones. Planet Labs confirmed it will stop publishing imagery covering the region. The restriction curtails independent monitoring by journalists, analysts and humanitarian groups, and raises major transparency and security concerns.
