Sid Krofft, co-creator of H.R. Pufnstuf and Land of the Lost, dies at 96

Sid Krofft, the television producer and puppeteer who co-created H.R. Pufnstuf and Land of the Lost with his brother Marty, died on April 10 at age 96. Sid and Marty Krofft also created The Banana Splits Adventure Hour, Lidsville and several other surreal children's series during the 1960s and 1970s. Marty Krofft predeceased Sid Krofft, dying in 2023, and the siblings' imaginative puppetry and set design helped define that era of children's television and remain pop culture touchstones.
