Tickets on sale for The Mandalorian and Grogu, opens May 22

Jon Favreau premiered new footage from The Mandalorian and Grogu at CinemaCon 2026, and Disney released the film's final trailer as tickets went on sale. Theatrical release is May 22 in the United States, with an early SIFF Cinema Downtown screening on May 21 offering select 3D showtimes. New Dolby and IMAX posters and a textless official poster accompanied the trailer. io9 journalists were shown the film's first 18 minutes last week, and Canada News Beep noted the movie features the first opening credits ever used in a Star Wars film, which it identified as containing a major plot clue.
