Honor's Lightning won the robot-only Beijing half-marathon on Sunday, completing the 21.0975 kilometer course in 50 minutes 26 seconds. More than 300 robots from over 100 domestic and international teams ran in separate robot lanes at the event. Last year's winning humanoid finished the course in about 2 hours 40 minutes, so developers shaved roughly 70 percent off the robot winning time in one year. Organizers said the performance highlights rapid gains in bipedal robot endurance and control, a step toward practical logistics and field applications.
