UK postal vote deadline, apply by 5pm today

UK voters must have postal vote applications received by 5pm on Tuesday 21 April to vote in local elections on 7 May. The 5pm 21 April deadline covers new postal and postal proxy applications and changes to existing postal or proxy votes. Applicants must already be on the electoral register to apply; use gov.UK/apply-postal-vote or the government 'Voting by post' guidance for forms and instructions. If you miss the deadline you will not receive a postal ballot but can still vote in person at polling stations on 7 May.
