Earth Day, 56th anniversary, marked worldwide tomorrow

On April 22, 2026, millions worldwide will mark the 56th Earth Day with local cleanups, rallies and virtual events, including the Virtual & Accessible Earth Day 2026 Rally at 8 PM ET featuring YouTuber and science communicator Dave Farina. Organizations are staging community restoration projects, a 24-hour "slow radio" broadcast by The Wetland Project starting at midnight, and promotions of the Earth Day children's picture book Wildspeak by Sangma Francis and Lexi Vangsnes.
