Anthropic probes unauthorized access to Mythos AI

Anthropic opened an investigation after unauthorized users accessed its restricted Mythos model through a third-party contractor account. The company has delayed Mythos's general release; Anthropic says the model can spot long-standing security holes that have existed for decades. Anthropic is investigating how the contractor account was used and will decide on containment steps and the model's release timing based on the probe's findings.
