Michael Sheen to star as Salieri in Amadeus revival

Michael Sheen will reprise his role as Antonio Salieri in a revival of Peter Shaffer's Amadeus opposite Callum Scott Howells. The production is a Welsh National Theatre co-production that will open in Cardiff before transferring to London’s West End for a 16-week run. Sheen helped set up the co-production last year and this marks his return to the West End after more than 20 years. The revival reunites Sheen with a signature role and anchors the Welsh National Theatre’s 2027/28 programme, making it a major theatrical event next season.
