Canonical released Ubuntu 26.04 LTS "Resolute Raccoon" and published CD images for download. The release ships with GNOME 50 on a Wayland-only desktop and runs on Linux kernel 7.0. Canonical will provide five years of updates and security fixes, keeping Ubuntu 26.04 supported until April 2031.
