Palantir employees begin questioning company’s ethics, WIRED finds

techApr 24, 2026715

WIRED obtained interviews and internal Slack messages showing Palantir employees raising moral concerns about the company’s government and defense contracts. Current and former engineers told WIRED they worry about building software used by law enforcement and the military, with some asking whether they are "the bad guys." Staff pointed to partnerships and subcontracting with Accenture, Deloitte, Lockheed, RTX, and Northrop that integrate Palantir technology into federal programs. Those internal doubts matter because Palantir’s platforms power surveillance, targeting, and immigration enforcement, raising questions about corporate oversight and the ethics of public-sector technology.
