SEGA launches SEGA UNIVERSE initiative to spotlight legacy IPs
SEGA launched the SEGA UNIVERSE initiative, opening an official site and releasing a "NO OLD, STAY GOLD" concept trailer. The campaign names anniversary projects for legacy franchises including Out Run, NiGHTS, Sakura Wars, Streets of Rage, Fantasy Zone, Rent A Hero, Guardian Heroes, Dynamite Deka and SGGG. The initiative covers cross-media offerings such as film, music, fashion and merchandise tied to those anniversaries. That creates opportunities for remasters, new games, collaborations and expanded merchandise, making classic SEGA properties more visible to modern audiences.

What do they have against Phantasy Star and Shining Force
Where's Skies of Arcadia, Sega?
oh my god yes to everything here but if we can be given a real/non AI nonsense translation of SGGG after all these years, i will lose my whole shit
Jet Set Radio found dead in a ditch
Another decade without Billy Hatcher :(
Didn’t they already do this a couple years ago with Dreamcast era stuff and still have nothing to show for it?
Without Skies of Arcadia, I just don't care anymore
Segagaga (SGGG) is definitely the most surprising thing here.
Didn’t they announce something like this before that we still haven’t seen any releases from?
And yet, no new Jet Set Radio.
Virtual On sitting in a corner crying tears of machine oil and coolant.
Is this the long fabled Sega "Super Game"?
A Crazi Taxi collection and JSRF would be nice
Wonder if this has anything to do with the games they announced at TGA a few years back? Feel like A new Golden Axe was among them though. And where’s the new Virtua Fighter? Maybe I’m misunderstanding what this is, idk.
SEGA RISTART IS RIGHT THERE CMON
I find it disheartening that they showed gameplay of games like the new Streets of Rage and Golden Axe almost 3 years ago, but the news now don’t show any progress. Makes me think these vague announcements aren’t worth much and the stuff from 2023 may be dead.
Out Run.. yess… fuck yes.
Unfortunately, the last time they did this (announced five revivals of old franchises) only *one* of them actually got made. youtu.be/Z9d9tGZWG70?...
PSO and Skies of Arcadia??
Dynamite Deka? We're so fucking back.
