Steelers select Navy RB/WR Eli Heidenreich in Round 7, No. 230

The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Navy hybrid running back/wide receiver Eli Heidenreich with their seventh-round, No. 230 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Heidenreich, a Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania native WHO starred at Navy, attended the draft ceremony in his Navy dress blues. At Navy he lined up as both a ballcarrier and pass-catcher and also contributed on special teams, giving the Steelers a versatile, low-risk roster option. The pick matters because Pittsburgh added a local, multi-role athlete WHO can immediately provide special-teams value and expand offensive gadget packages without using an earlier draft choice.
