Every year more people are killed at work than in wars. Most don't die of mystery ailments, or in tragic "accidents". They die because an employer decided their safety just wasn't that important a priority. On International Workers Memorial Day, we commemorate those workers

Today, we honor Workers’ Memorial Day—remembering every worker who never made it home. We stand in solidarity and recommit to fighting for safer workplaces for all.

This Workers Memorial Day, we mourn those lost on the job and recommit to the fight for workplace safety. Each day, we lose 380 workers and more than 8,600 suffer injury and illness from dangerous working conditions. It's unacceptable. I will always fight for our labor laws- they save lives.
