Microsoft rolls out Xbox Mode for Windows 11 PCs

techApr 30, 202612110

Microsoft began rolling out Xbox Mode to Windows 11 PCs today, adding a controller-friendly, full-screen Xbox interface to the Xbox PC app. Xbox Mode provides a console-inspired UI optimized for controller navigation so players can browse, launch, and manage games without returning to the Windows desktop. The mode aggregates a user's game library, surfacing the full Xbox Game Pass catalog alongside installed titles from Steam, GOG, and Epic. Xbox Mode requires the latest Windows 11 update to appear in the Xbox app, and it makes PC gaming feel closer to an Xbox console for controller-first setups.
