sportsMay 1, 202629156

Lando Norris took sprint pole for the 2026 Miami Grand Prix with a 1:27.869 lap, edging Kimi Antonelli and Oscar Piastri into second and third. Charles Leclerc was fourth while Max Verstappen and George Russell ran fifth and sixth, and this is the first time this season that no Mercedes driver secured either a sprint or Grand Prix pole. The sprint result will shape part of Sunday’s starting grid, giving McLaren one-lap momentum and Norris a strong chance to score points and influence race strategy.
