Carolina Hurricanes shut out Flyers 3-0 in Game 1

Flyers lose 3-0 in Game 1 against the Hurricanes. Awful first period buried them, but even after that, the Canes were pretty clearly the better club. Flyers have a very difficult road ahead of them in this series.

Hot take for the NHL: we shouldn’t have Rd 1 series still going while there’s games at 7. And it’s not like they’re already scheduled, you schedule them on the fly. Like why was Flyers-Canes Game 1 yesterday while we have MTL-TB Game 7.
