Paul Seixas confirmed for Tour de France 2026
Paul Seixas, 19, will make his Tour de France debut this July for Decathlon-CMA CGM. The team confirmed he will start the race on July 4 in Barcelona and ride the full three-week Tour. At 19 he will be the youngest Tour starter in 89 years, a selection that fast-tracks his Grand Tour experience and signals Decathlon-CMA CGM's commitment to investing in emerging French talent.
Decathlon-CMA CGM confirm that Paul Seixas 🇫🇷 WILL race the Tour de France 🇫🇷 this year. A bold mobe by the team but it makes sense. It is now a chance for them to focus on realistic goals as we don't know how he'll perform over three weeks. Do you think it's a good move by the team? Or too soon?
Also, the reveal video where he shares the news with his grandparents is well worth a watch on all the team's social media platforms.
I think its a good move, as long as they are smart and ready to pull him from the race early if need be from injury or wear and tear or whatever... even if it ends up only being a week or so of experience will be a benefit in the long run
