The Bear surprise prequel 'Gary' drops on Hulu

Wait... Hulu just surprise-dropped an hour-long Very Special Episode of The Bear (technically called "Gary"), written by and starring Ebon Moss-Bacharach and Jon Bernthal? What?!?!

A new episode of ‘THE BEAR’ was secretly filmed & is now available on Hulu. The prequel episode follows Richie and Michael on a work trip to Gary, Indiana.

My only question about "Gary," the "The Bear" prequel special, is if, for Emmy purposes, it's an Original Movie or, since Hulu is labeling it as "S1 Ep1" a very Limited Series. In the time it took me to type this post, I stopped caring.

My guess is this one is a "prequel" because it won't involve Carmy in any way. THE BEAR has delivered a lot of great episodes, so I trust this will all makes sense once we see AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY. #filmsky #tvsky #scriptsky
